Seminar recommendation: Product safety – Challenge and obligation of the market players

With the objective of providing consumer protection, preventing distortion of competition and the obligation of implementing European law, the Product Safety Act (ProdSG) was introduced to Germany on December 1, 2011.

It provides the framework for obligations of manufacturers, importers and vendors and is the basis for national market monitoring, which the federal states are responsible for. What matters most when it comes to meeting standards and avoiding product recalls is having fully-developed, efficient and tested products. Traceable processes and effective supplier management are expected from all economic operators involved in the process and are essential.

On October 22, 2019, our seminar “Product Safety Act, evaluation of CE conformity and product safeguarding in practice” will be held in Hamburg. Our objective is to inform you of relevant laws, fundamental requirements and terms within the European Single Market and provide solutions for implementation in company practice. Our legal expert Inken Green will describe possibilities for action and legal aspects when it comes to ensuring compliance with legal requirements and product quality. If a product recall becomes necessary, you will be provided with information on how to handle it as well as your obligations towards authorities.

You can find more information on our website. If you have any questions on this topic, please get in touch with your responsible contact in the sales department or our seminar department at the phone number +49(0)40 600-202-330 or by email to: seminare@hansecontrol.com.
